DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement teacher-designed instructional activities and provide student support under the direction of a classroom teacher.
- Monitor and provide students with assistance during inclusion classroom activities.
- Act as a resource person concerning health issues for individual student.
- Support individual student needs.
- Assist and carry out IEP’s as directed by the supervision teacher and providing appropriate accomodations.
- Assist students who have social-emotional, sensory, motor or mobility needs.
- Assist the teacher in observing, charting, and recording student data.
- Assume responsibility for continuing own education and obtain consultation, supervision and peer review as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience working in an educational setting or with adolescents
- Evidence of successful rapport working with others
- Strong communication skills
- Associate degree; Bachelor's degree preferred
