Position Title:          Special Education Van Monitor

Department:            Special Education/Transportation

Reports to:               Transportation Coordinator/Special Education Director

 

Qualifications:

• A considerate and responsible individual who is sensitive to the needs of all children
• Valid CORI
• Fingerprinting results required

 

Job Description:

• To welcome students and assist them on and off the van
• Make sure students are safely buckled in their seats. This also includes assisting wheelchair students with seatbelts and attachments
• Oversee student behavior 
• Engage with students to help them feel comfortable and safe.
• Cares about students well being
• Helps students into the schools if necessary

 

Work/Pay Schedule:

• 3-5 days a week
• approximately 10 hours per week
• early morning and afternoon routes
• possible year round route 
• 5 sick days allotted
• Competitive hourly pay
