Qualifications:           

 

Qualified or Certified by Massachusetts Department of Education.

 

• Experience with direct, systematic, multisensory structured language teaching.
• Experience with IEP writing and progress reports.
• Experience working as a member of team of special Education and Regular Education professionals.
• Appropriate certification required.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Develop and carry forth individual educational plans.
• Assist students to develop self-advocacy and executive function skills.
• Develop lessons and experiences so that the students will be self-sufficient and independent learners.
• Teach and/or tutor all students in their identified areas of need.
• Act as liaison between teachers and parents.
• Collaborate with regular classroom teachers to work on students’ individual goals and benchmarks.
• Be flexible enough to accept and prepare individual programs of instruction per students.
• Maintain confidential records.
• Perform all such duties as assigned by the Principal and Administration of Special Education.
