Qualification:
- RBT certification
- Minimum High school diploma/GED; Associated Degree or higher preferred
- Previous experience working with children with autism or in the field of ABA
- Experience with data collection and reporting on student progress
Summary:
Wakefield Public Schools is seeking a talented RBT to work in the STRIVE Program at Galvin Middle School. STRIVE is a substantially separate classroom for student Autism who require their academics be taught in a small group setting, with embedded behavioral support. The RBT will work under the direction of the STRIVE Special Education Teacher and the Program BCBA.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in the STRIVE program, including implementing discrete trials
- Assist in creating, implementing, and monitoring progress of individualized programming (including facilitating social skills groups)
- Assist in delivering direct behavior-analytic services, implementing behavior plans, and collecting and graphing data
- Assist in the development of IEPs
- Continuously monitor student’s response to treatment through data collection methods
- Implementing behavioral procedures for acquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviors
- Support students with various ADLs (including toileting), when needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Perform other related duties, as required
Work Year: 190 days total (180 school days + 10 days). There is an opportunity to work the Extended School Year Program in the summer as well, if you choose to do so.
Work Day: 7.5 hours Monday - Friday. Schedule is consistent with the district calendar.
Compensation: $3-$35 per hour, commensurate with experience
