DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement teacher-designed instructional activities and provide student support under the direction of a classroom teacher.
• Monitor and provide students with assistance during inclusion classroom activities.
• Act as a resource person concerning health issues for individual student.
• Support individual student needs.
• Assist and carry out IEP’s as directed by the supervision teacher and providing appropriate accomodations.
• Assist students who have social-emotional, sensory, motor or mobility needs.
• Assist the teacher in observing, charting, and recording student data.
• Assume responsibility for continuing own education and obtain consultation, supervision and peer review as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience working in an educational setting or with adolescents
• Evidence of successful rapport working with others
• Strong communication skills
• Associate degree; Bachelor's degree preferred
