DEFINITION:
- Previous successful experience with children, especially those with language-based learning disabilities
- Ability to communicate successfully with staff and students
- Ability to accept directions and work in a subordinate role
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To assist in the preparation of instructional materials
- To provide ancillary instruction in the language-based learning disabilities program, if required, under the direction of the classroom teacher
- Acts as a resource person concerning health issues for individual students
- Assume responsibility for continuing own education and obtain consultation, supervision and peer review as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience working in an educational setting or with children. Experience working with students with language-based learning disabilities strongly preferred
